DPS STUDENTS WIN LAURELS

• The students of DPS Jammu participated in Inter- School Debate & Painting competitions organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation, North Zone Committee at Abhinav Theatre Jammu & Sprawling Buds School ,Chinore on 23rd& 24th May 2013 respectively.
The school won 4 coveted positions in both the events. In the Debate competition on the topic ‘Adventure Games – a Pleasure or Pain,’ Mahaveer Singh of Class VIII won the 3rdposition ,a merit certificate and a cashaward.
In the Painting competition on the theme Himalayas/ Nature, Seerat Gupta & Karen Mahajan
from Class VI won the 1st& 3rd positions respectively, along with a trophy and cash award in the
sub- junior category. In the senior group, Rishab Gupta from class XI won the 3rd prize along with
trophy and a cash award.

• Glorious victory was also won by BhavikaRai, Class I student in Inter- School Maltese Books Competition 2013 (Drawing), organized by High Commission of Malta, New Delhi, in association with KC Public School, Jammu on 28th May 2013.
• In another Inter- School state level Debate competition held on 18 May 2013 at St. Francis Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor on the topic – ‘In the light of present developments, India needs to reconsider its foreign policy towards its neighbors’, 2nd position(individual) was won by ChahatMasoom. The school also won the Runner’s up trophy for the best team comprising ChahatMasoom and Archita Sharma.
• Soumya Sharma won 5th position and a cash award of Rs. 6000/- in “Run For Fun’ Marathon organized by J& K armed police from Gulshan Ground to Sidhra& back.
