DPS OBSERVED ENVIRONMENT WEEK

To promote harmony with the Nature and the Earth to achieve a just balance among the economic and environmental needs of the present and future generations of the humanity, DPS Jammu celebrated Environment week with energized eco-activities. The little buddies of classes Pre-Nursery – V were abuzz with activities and celebrated Environment week. Banners and colourful charts were put up by the students on the theme ‘Go Green & Plant a tree Today.’ Poster making competition was also held wherein students painted their thoughts on Nature Conservation. A Blue walk was organized that motivated all to keep the planet beautiful and full of life as ever by conserving water.
The students of classes VI-VIII showed keen interest by displaying their ideas in the form of poster making in which they depicted the importance of GREEN EARTH. With the motto of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, activities on ‘BEST OUT OF WASTE’ and ‘GREEN INDIA-CLEAN INDIA’ were organized. Further a Quiz on Swacchh Bharat was also organized in which students of classes VI-VIII exhibited their knowledge about National Park, Indian Wild Life Sanctuary, Pollution, Conservation of Earth, etc. This week was quite fruitful as the children learnt a lot about the need to conserve environment.
Headmistress, DPS Jammu, Ms. Meenu Gupta appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers to inspire the people around to become active about the environment and the steps taken by them to ensure that future of our planet Earth is safe. She encouraged students to take up recycling and beautification initiatives by planting trees in the school and their neighbourhood.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra appreciated the staff and the students for observing the environment week successfully.
