DPS Jammu organized Panel Discussion Against CHILD LABOUR

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized a panel discussion on the burning topic ‘Child Labour’ here today. The panelists and the moderator included the students from classes IX-XII.
Students highlighted the reasons of the child labour, concerned rules and regulations, their implementations and shortcomings, in an effective and clear manner. They further expressed that the need of the hour globally, is to change the mindset of the masses alongwith the strengthening of the laws and judiciary. The panelists included - Amrit Bassan, Sara Khan, Insha Dawood and Lakshay, with Mahavir Singh as the moderator.
Addressing the gathering, Headmistress Ms. Meenu Gupta applauded the efforts made by the students and thanked everyone involved in this project for taking unique and purposeful steps towards bringing awareness on such an important social issue.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra expressed the need to safeguard childhood and take immediate steps in the near vicinity to address the issue. She congratulated all participants and appreciated their sincere efforts, particularly of Ms. Manpreet Kour, senior English teacher for guiding and coordinating the event.
