DPS STUDENTS OUTSHINE CBSE COMPETITION AT NATIONAL LEVEL

World, No Tobacco Day designed by World Health Organization to highlight the global health crises triggered by consumption of tobacco products. To eradicate the menace of tobacco, the CBSE conducted various competitions at National level for the students under the theme- Poster Making, Essay Writing, Nukkad Natak and Jingles etc. Various schools from across the country sent their entries. The students of DPS enthusiastically participated in the competition. They applied their knowledge, observations and creativity and outshone by winning positions in different areas. Master Rajarshi and Master Siddharth who put up their thoughts in Essay Writing Competition depicting the negative impact of tobacco use, clinched 1st and 2nd position respectively. 10 students of classes VIII, IX and X presented an eye opening enactment - Nukkad Natak – ‘Tobacco Chhodo’ directed by Mr. Anil Sharma was acclaimed as the best entry in the competition. Jingle song on the message to ‘Quit Tobacco’ also got winning position. The lyrics were written by Mr. Jai Paul Gill, Senior Music Teacher.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal DPS Jammu and Ms. Meenu Gupta Headmistress DPS Jammu lauded the efforts of the students and the teachers for their good work and congratulated them for bringing laurels to the school.
Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble President Rajput Charitable Trust, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Pro-vice Chairperson, Delhi Public School Jammu and Sh. S.S. Sodhi, Hon’ble Director DPS Jammu also conveyed their congratulations to the students and staff for winning the Ist and 2nd positions in the competition and also best wishes for their bright future.
