DPS JAMMU Participated in ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on 2nd day with JMC Jammu

DPS JAMMU in collaboration with JMC Jammu participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 2nd day, today. The program started at Radio Kashmir Jammu Chowk at 10:30 AM where the staff and the student of the school participated . It aimed at making the people aware about the importance of cleanliness and making the nation neat, clean and green.
A small step but a very big aim of the little buddies of the school for making India a better place to live in. They started with a mission to make the country neat, clean and green. The students were holding pamphlets for distribution among the general public and banners duly beautifully written slogans like - EK KADAM SWACHHTA KI ORE and SAY NO TO POLYTHENE BAGS etc.
All the staff member and students of Delhi Public School Jammu, Municipal Corporation Jammu, prominent citizens and others who had assembled near Radio Kashmir Jammu left for Nograta in a shape of rally which was flagged off by Hon’ble Chief Guest Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma , MP and the guest of honour Sh. Rajesh Gupta , MLA Jammu East . They all took oath pledging for keeping the area near to their houses neat and clean. They also appreciated the School Management and MCJ for making the general public aware about the benefits of cleanliness and pure environment. Sh. Madan Lal Dogra, environmentalist also delivered a lecture on the occasion. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Zafar Iqbal.
The Program concluded with distribution of sweats.
