DPS JAMMU Participated in ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on 3rd day with JMC Jammu

DPS JAMMU in collaboration with JMC Jammu participated in ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on 3rd day, today. The staff and students of the school proceeded towards JDA Park, Patoli, Old Janipur where the staff of Municipal Corporation Jammu, many VIPs, prominent citizen and others had to assemble. The program began at 10:30am.

The locals of the area took an oath to check and maintain the cleanliness in their areas. The Volunteers from the area promised to act as warriors for keeping the areas neat and clean. The students presented an eye opening enactment awaking the people about importance of cleanliness. They urged the people not to throw litter in the open. Necessary Pamphlets were also distributed among the people for making them aware about the cleanliness drive and making their areas neat, clean and green.

Sh. Sat Pal Sharma Ji, Hon’ble MLA Jammu (West) who was the Chief Guest on the occasion made the people aware about the main purpose of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and stressed upon them to make their areas neat and clean. He also appreciated the Management of DPS Jammu and Municipal Corporation Jammu for continuing Swach Bharat Abhiyan for the betterment of the people.

The campaigning group marched towards Suryavanshi Park, Buta Nagar and ended at Lower Roop Nagar. The people of the locality showed their involvement by taking pledge to keep their surroundings neat, clean and green.
