DPS JAMMU ORGANISED FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

Almost 2 million animals are killed every year for their fur, usage in experiments and decoration for humans. Not only it is cruelity to animals but is in-human and unconstitutional. Taking this into consideration, a ‘Fancy Dress competition’ with a theme ‘Save Animals’ was organized by class II students. 33 students from different sections participated in the competition with great interest and enthusiasm. The participants were dressed up like different animals who also enacted and recited poems on animals.
Anvi Gupta and Aayat Fatima stood Ist, Danish Talwar and Dhrrishaj Vaid bagged IInd position and Arshia Sawhney & Anahita Sharma won IIIrd place in the competition. The competition was adjudged by Ms. Sheetal Chalotra and Ms. Anuradha Rance.
Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress of the school appreciated the performance of the students and stated that saving animals is very important as these help in balancing the eco-system. She also stated that the absence of any single kind of organism can destroy the whole eco-system.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal DPS Jammu appreciated the performance of the students and congratulated the winners.
