DPS JAMMU ORGANIZED ‘INTER HOUSE SKIT COMPETITION’

Skits or plays that are performed in the schools by the students teach them not only the importance of theater and art but also the valuable lessons associated with the stories they perform. It develops an aesthetic sense in the students. DPS Jammu today organized an ‘Inter House Skit Competition’ in the school premises. The students presented their skits on the lives of great Educators of India – Dr. S Radhakrishnan, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Swami Vivekanand, Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Rabindranath Tagore.
Mr. Pritam Katoch, a well-known theater artist of J&K state was the judge for the event. He adjudged ‘Tawi House’ as the winner whereas ‘Jhelum House’ and ‘Chenab House’ were declared at second and third positions respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress DPS Jammu appreciated the efforts of the students and advised them to bring their books into action. She also emphasized on organising more such events, in order to know our glorious past.
The Chief-Guest, Mr. Katoch also applauded the performance of the students and motivated them to always keep participating and increasing their horizon.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal DPS Jammu congratulated the winners and wished them for their bright future.
