DPS Jammu holds special assembly to celebrate Diwali and Children’s Day

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized a thrilling Diwali function in their school premises today. Beautiful sunny day started with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra bringing alive the traditional gaiety of the festival of lights and invocation to lord Ganesha through a vandana. After seeking divine blessings of God, a melodious song was sung by the school choir. Primary students of the school gave foot tapping dance performance on the song “Happy Diwali “ and brought a smile on every face. However, the “Balle Balle” moment was witnessed as the dancers performed on the beats of “Dhol” and “Bhangra” in a power packed performance .The celebration reached its zenith with the senior students giving a heart throbbing western dance performance.
Principal DPS Jammu Ms. Ruchi Chabra applauded the participants and the teachers on the delightful performance and extended festive greetings on behalf of the school management M.K. Ajatshatru Singh ji, Hon’ble President Rajput Charitable Trust, Kunwrani Ritu Singh ji, Hon’ble PVC DPS Jammu & Sh S. S. Sodhi ji, Hon’ble Director DPS Jammu. She highlighted the significance of the festival of lights and urged all members to share their festive joy with less fortunate lot of the society.
The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sheetal Kohli followed by the National Anthem.
