DPS, Jammu Celebrated Christmas Day

Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated Christmas with great fervor and gaiety in the school premises here today. The students participated in various programmes with great enthusiasm. The special assembly started with the holy prayer was followed by melodious carols and cultural bonanza.
Various songs and carols were presented in the praise of Mother Mary and Lord Christ by the students from different classes. Nativity scene was also presented in which birth of the Christ was enacted by the students in a remarkable and inspiring manner.
Colourful Salsa dance and moving skating dance performances by the students of the primary wing added a vibrant flavour to the celebration and left the audience spell bound.
The dance performance of the tiny tots of class prep added glitter to the celebration. Presence of the Santa alongwith the snowman were the main attraction for the students and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Headmistress Ms. Meenu Gupta extended her wishes to all students on account of Christmas and New Year. She also stated that these celebrations add to the progressive mind set of the students.
Addressing the gathering Principal, Ms Ruchi Chabra conveyed the warm wishes of Christmas and New Year and narrated a story emphasizing the importance of sharing. She also stated that on this sacred occasion, we should spread the message of love and peace and at the same time we should not forget to help the poor and infirm, as it will be the real celebration of Christmas.
Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble President RCT Jammu , Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chairperson DPS Jammu and Sh. S. S. Sodhi Ji, Hon’ble Director DPS Jammu also conveyed their good wishes to the staff and students of the school for the Christmas.
