DPS Jammu won the Surinder Mahajan Cricket Tournament

KC Sports Club Jammu organized an Inter School Surinder Mahajan Cricket Memorial Tournament in the club premises from 18th of December 2015, in which eight top teams of the district Jammu participated. Delhi Public School Jammu defeated ACM Public School Jammu in the semi final to qualify for the final against Project Model School .In the final match DPS Jammu won the toss and decided to bat first. While batting, DPS Jammu set a target of 49 runs in the stipulated 10 overs loosing 2 wickets in the process .In reply, Project Model School scored only 22 runs in 8 overs .Accordingly DPS Jammu won the match and the trophy.
In the bowling department Ayush Slathia and Anmol took 2 wickets each. The best batsman and the Man of the Match award was given to Ayush Slathia for his best performance. Delhi Public School Jammu was awarded the overall Rolling Trophy of the tournament.
A special assembly was also organized in the school premises, where the winning team was felicitated by Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal of the school. She also lauded the efforts of the players and the coach for achieving this precious trophy.
M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble President RCT, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chairperson DPS Jammu and Sh. S. S. Sodhi Ji, Hon’ble Director DPS Jammu congratulated the team and their parents. They also blessed the students for their bright future.
