DPS JAMMU ORGANISED AN INTER HOUSE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The Inter House Boys (Under 10) Football Tournament was organized by the Sports Department of the School. The three day tournament was concluded on 13th May 2016. It was organized in an endeavour to promote the level of Sports & Games of the Junior students of the School, in which five houses namely Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Tawi and Yamuna participated. Each team put up an extraordinary performance. The final match was played between Jhelum House and Tawi House, brought an end to a thrilling competition with Tawi house emerging victorious with 4 – 0 while Jhelum house as the Runner’s up. The goals for the winning team were scored by Anique of class V D. Ms Meenu Gupta, Headmistress congratulated the teams and stated that it is important to organize such sports activities for the students to teach them patience, social interaction, team spirit and how to win or lose gracefully.
Ms Ruchi Chabra, Principal, congratulated the winners and all the participants for their brilliant showcase of the skills and techniques. She also stressed that the students should participate more & more to inculcate sportsmanship among them.
Hon’ble President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director Mr. S S Sodhi also conveyed their best wishes to all the teams and participants, particularly the winners.
