DPS ORGANIZES WORKSHOP FOR HINDI TEACHERS

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized a one day intensive interactive workshop cum training programme for around 60 Hindi language teachers of DPS Jammu, Katra and Nagbani, in its premises on Saturday. The resource expert for the session was Dr. A.K. Gugnani, In-Service Head, Dept. of Languages, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Chandigarh, having 20 years of teaching experience to his credit, and as many years, as a writer and a research scholar.
In the first session, Dr. Gugnani discussed at length, new paradigms and strategies in Teaching & Learning, NCF 2005, Interdisciplinary Approach in Teaching, Multilingualism & Inclusion in Education, Pedagogy of Mother Language and Teaching Across Curriculum.
The second session focused on Learning indicators in Hindi Language, Group Activities on Assessment & Evaluation of Language Competencies and Developing Creative and Meaningful Home Assignments.
Dr. Gugnani encouraged teachers to create such model classrooms, where students would never get bored and be forever interested to learn.
Earlier, welcoming the resource person, Principal, DPS Jammu Ms. Ruchi Chabra urged the teachers to be participative and forthcoming in order to take maximum from the workshop. She also presented the school memento to Dr. Gugnani as a token of thanks. Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress in her address outlined the importance of creativity and enthusiasm among teachers. She stressed upon the need for the teachers to be innovative and introspective.
Hon’ble President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S S Sodhi Ji appreciated the initiative and also conveyed their best wishes to all participants.
