Dipsites , Jammu Visit Ampahalla

A group of 15 students and 2 teachers from Delhi Public School Jammu visited the home for Old and Infirm, Amphalla on 7 September 2013 as a part of the School’s Community Outreach program. The purpose was to involve the students in socially useful and productive work in order to help them groom into socially and morally responsible citizens of India.
The team from the school interacted with the inmates and involved themselves in helpful activities and tasks that proved practically useful to them.
A short cultural program was put up by the students including poetry recitation and rendition of Bhajans and songs, which saw the participation of the inmates also.
Some essential items of daily use and permissible eatables were also distributed by the children among the inmates of the old age home.
Students and teachers extended their heartfelt thanks to the school for organizing the visit and giving the children an opportunity to learn through such an enriching visit.
