DPS JAMMU WON RUNNER’S UP POSITION IN INTER SCHOOLBASKET BALL TOURNAMEN

DPS Jammu won second position and Silver medal in Slam Jam Tournament hosted byBanyan International School from 19th - 24th December, 2016. The team’s journey inthe tournament started with the pool matches, with DPS Jammu playing its first matchwith BSF Paloura, winning the match one sided with a score 26-11. The second matchin the pool was with Air force School, where despite giving a tough competition to theboys, they lost the match with a score of 28-32. However, the boy’s hard work gavethem positive result leading them to win the next 2 matches with SOS 31-21 and KCIS18-17, taking them to the semifinals. After winning both their do and die matches, boysfaced APS Nagrota in the semifinals and won the match by 18-16, leading them to thefinals against Air force. The boys were awarded with Silver medals and certificates ofappreciation.Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra applauded the school team and the coach Mr.Shubham Bhardwaj.Hon’ble President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani RituSingh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S S Sodhi Ji also congratulated the winnersand conveyed their best wishes.
