DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU CELEBRATED REPUBLIC DAY

DPS Jammu Celebrated the Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on 25th January, 2017 in the school premises. The program began with the hoisting of National Flag by Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon'ble MLC, and President RCT J&K, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. M.K. sahib recalled the supreme sacrifices and struggles made by the freedom fighters. He also stated that the constitution of India came in to effect on 26th January under which India was declared a sovereign democratic state and urged the students to spread the message of feeling of Nationalism among the school students which is very important for a strong Nation.
This was followed by the colourful cultural programme presented by the staff members that included Teachers, choir group, poetry recitation and instrumental performance.
Earlier, a pre-Republic day special assembly was conducted where the students spell bound the audience with their breathtaking performances. Primary and Upper primary students also presented patriotic group songs and Nukkad natak showcasing the Constitutional rights in a wonderful way. The compering was done by Riya Singh and Navya Bali, the students of Class IX.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal, Delhi Public School, Jammu delivered a motivational speech and urged all members to understand the true value and meaning of freedom. She said that we should not forget our National heroes who laid their lives for librating India because of whom we are enjoying the freedom in a largest democratic setup of the world today. Sh. C.L. Malhotra, Administrator, Ms. Meenu Gupta Head Mistress, Mr. R.C. Gupta Accounts officer, Mr. Karandeep Singh Manager (Operation) and faculty members were also present on the occasion.
Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chairperson Kunwarni Ritu Singh Ji and Hon'ble Director, Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to all the Staff members and students of the school on this auspicious occasion.
