DPS JAMMU ORGANISES “INTER HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION”

Delhi Public School Jammu organised an ‘Inter House Debate Competition’ for Class VIII, on the topic – “Freedom of Print Media is Detrimental to Democracy”. Two participants from each of the five Houses spoke Against and For the motion. Ms. Saroj Bakshi and Ms. Aarti Sharma judged the event.
The winners were as follows:
First Position – Chenab House (Tarini Magotra VIII-A)
Second position – Chenab House (Sargam VIII-G)
Third Position – Ganga House (Sneha Mahajan VIII-G)
Best Debater For the Motion – Tarini Magotra of VIII-A
Best Debater Against the Motion – Sargam of VIII-G
Two consolation prizes were awarded to Sugauri Gupta of VIII-F and Summaiya Fatima of VIII-H.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra lauded the efforts of the winners for their achievement. Headmistress Ms. Meenu Gupta said that the Debate is a vital grooming activity that improves the intellectual thinking of a child. The vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Anuradha Malhotra, House Warden, Tawi House.
Hon’ble President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh ji. Hon’ble PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh ji and Hon’ble Director Sh. S.S Sodhi ji also conveyed their best wishes to the participants and the winners.
