INTERACTIVE SESSION ON ADOLESCENCE CONDUCTED FOR GIRLS AT DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU

DPS Jammu organized a very significant and informative session on "Personal Hygiene and Counseling" for the adolescent girls of classes VI to VIII on 21st Aug. 2017.
Dr. Neelam (MD Gynaecology) started the counseling session and put forward her views on the topic "Puberty" which is the process of physical changes through which a child's body matures.
The next session was conducted by Dr. Anita (BEMS) where she talked about Menstruation and the regular changes that occurs in the female body and how and why hygiene is vital to cope up with all these changes.
The school counselor Ms. Supreet Kour taught the girls about various aspects of adolescence, physiological and emotional changes, general awareness, etc. Some informative PPT's and videos were also shown to the girls which was followed by a lively interactive session.
Addressing the students, Headmistress, DPS Jammu, Ms. Meenu Gupta encouraged the girls to face every situation with confidence and zeal. Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the school team of doctors, teachers and other members for organizing a relevant and important session for the adolescent girls.
