DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING STUDENTS OF CLASS XII

DPS Jammu organized farewell and Blessing ceremony "Bazm-e-Rukhsat" for the outgoing batch of class XII here today. The ceremony commenced by observing 2 minutes silence to pay tribute to the martyred Jawans of Sunjuwan attack. This was followed by the traditional lamp lightning and blessing ceremony wherein the Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra along with the staff, bestowed blessings upon the children. Devoting the day to the years spent together with friends, teachers and reminiscences of joyous moments, class XI students presented lively array of cultural items. There were soulful songs in English and Hindi, depicting sad separation, glorious day of friendship and mesmerizing dance performances including Western & Bollywood styles, Bhangra snd Pure classical dances.
The most awaited moment was the DPS title round, wherein around 80 students contested for the five coveted titles in three competitive elimination rounds. The result was as follows: Mr. DPS- Mahaveer Singh, Ms. DPS-Vanshi, Mr. Farewell-Rajrshi Rai, Ms. Farewell- Vimakshi, Mr. Talent- Pranav Sahni, Ms. Talent- Rajnandani, Mr. Versatile- Raghav, Ms. Versatile- Vanshika.
All of them were awarded with the gifts & sashes, while all students of class XII were given best wishes cards, titles and mementoes. This was followed by valedictory speeches by the Head Boy, Head Girl and all the title winners. The Programme was made livelier by adding fun games for the students, surprise gifts, a selfie corner and a sumptuous lunch.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra shared a few tips for coping with examination and urged the children to carry forward the torch of enlightenment and live up to the school motto 'Service Before Self'. She wished all students good luck for their upcoming board examination. Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta also blessed the students. She motivated the students to forge ahead with confidence and zeal. Chief coordinator, Mr. Umesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Hon'ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon'ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon'ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji also conveyed their best wishes to all the students of class XII for their upcoming Board Examination and wished them a bright future ahead.
