DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU/NAGBANI/KATRA ORGANIZE WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN TO RELEASE STRESS

To give a healthy respite to students during peak examination month and to motivate them for nurturing positive outlook towards life, a two day workshop titled ‘Be a Star’ was organized by DPS Jammu, DPS Nagbani and DPS Katra at Hari Niwas Palace here today. The Resource Person was Ms. Neeta Singhal, Counsellor/Expert in spiritual healing from Mumbai. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, PVC, DPS Jammu who had initiated and conceptualized the whole programme for the benefit of the students and staff. The Guests of Honour were Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, President, RCT and Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji, Director, DPS Jammu.
Over the two days, Ms. Singhal motivated the children and staff to attain star-like qualities and to develop skills to remain grounded and self-motivated during all life’s circumstances. She also taught them different stress-buster techniques to release fear and stress. Also present on the occasion were Chakra Yogis: Ms. Asha Panchal, Ms. Neena Nanata, Ms. Aparna Kaul, Ms. Rajeshwari Metha, Ms. Shefali Shah, Mr. Piyush Shah and Mr. Jesal Shah.
Earlier, the children of DPS Jammu presented Saraswati Vandana and DPS Song, charging the whle atmosphere with positivity. The welcome address was presented by Principal, DPS Nagbani, Mr. Raj Kumar Verma, whereas the sessions on both days were summed up by Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, DPS Jammu and Ms. Vandana Sharma, Headmistress, DPS Nagbani. The vote of thanks was delivered by student RJ Tarini Magotra of class VIII, while the whole programme was coordinated by Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra.
The programme ended up with the National Anthem and beautiful, uplifting memories and learning.
