DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU CELEBRATES NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY DAY

DPS Jammu celebrated National Technology Day with great fervor and enthusiasm by holding Inter-House Elocution Competition for classes VII & VIII in its premises here today. Dr. Sanku Borkataki, Assistant Professor, Department of Parasitology Veterinary Science, was the Chief Guest and Judge on the occasion.
In the power packed Elocution, the students brought to the fore, the Pros & Cons of technology and spoke for the need of promoting technology that benefits all the stake holders. The result of the event is as follows:
First prize was bagged by Sheen Wanchoo of Yamuna house, Second prize was won by Vanya Suri of Ganga House while Tanisha Katyal of Jhelum House won Third prize. A consolation prize was also given to Shalin Sawhney of Ganga House.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanku Borkataki highlighted the significance of sustainable and inclusive technology. She congratulated all participants for their impressive performance.
Earlier, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra expressed the urgent need for making inclusion as a state of mind and an attitude for the progress of the nation. Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, DPS Jammu, also spoke on the occasion and encouraged students to be expressive and confident.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Irneet Kour, Vice House Warden, Ganga House. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their warm wishes on the occasion of National Technology Day and congratulated the staff and students for organizing the competition.
