DPS JAMMU CELEBRATES MOTHER’S DAY AND RELEASES PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL MAGAZINE

“A mother is a person who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take”. To celebrate their love, compassion and tenderness towards their children, Pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated Mother's Day with the mothers of Pre- Nursery kids along with their children. The mother and the child duo participated in various activities and games with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Program began with the cake-cutting ceremony followed by number of fum-filled games and activities for the mothers and the kids such as Basket n Ball game, Balloon Bursting, Potato piercing, etc which resulted in great amusement and merry making. Mothers and their kids were also asked to leave their handprints on a white canvas in order to seal and treasure the memories of the Mother's Day celebration. The mothers were felicitated with a sashe of 'World's Best mother' and presented a hand-made boquet by their children, who came dressed up in their fancy dress attires and enthralled the audience with their debut performance with their mother's on the stage. Later they enjoyed their separate 'selfie-counter' moments along with sumptuous meals. However, the gala moment of the day was the release of the maiden edition of Pre- Primary magazine 'Jharna', focussing on the children's activities and achievements of the session 2017-18.
Earlier, during her welcome address, Principal DPS jammu Ms. Ruchi chabra urged the parents and all others connected with the child, to contribute towards creating a meaningful life-experience for the child. She also felicitated the winners of the different game events. Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, DPS Jammu, emphasized on the role of the mother and thanked the mothers for raising their children with love and compassion. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Preeti Gupta Coordinator, Pre- Primary wing.
The event ended with the National Anthem.
Hon'ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon'ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon'ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji congratulated the staff for organising the event successfully and extended their best wishes to all on the occasion of the Mother's Day.
