DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU WIN MEDALS IN INTER-SCHOOL SWIMMING COMPETITION

DPS Jammu won 10 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 Bronze medals in Inter-School Swimming Competition in under 14 & under-17 boys and girls categories organized by District Youth Services and Sports held at Heritage School, Jammu from 22-26 May, 2018. The results are as follows:-
Suditi Jamwal (VII-G) - 3 Gold Medals in 100 mts. free style, 10 mts. back stroke and 50 mts. back stroke.
Vanya Suri (VIII-A) - 1 Gold medal in 200 mts. Back stroke, 1 Silver medal in 100 mts. back stroke, 1 bronze medal in 50 mts. Back stroke.
Shambhavi Sharma (VI-J) - 2 Bronze medals in 200 mts. Free style and 50 mts. Free style.
Naaz Goel (VII-G) - 1 Bronze medal in 100 mts. Breast stroke.
Divyan Sharma (IX-I) - 2 Gold medals in 400 mts. & 200 mts. Free Style, 1 Bronze medal in 100 mts. Free style
Devansh Bhalla (X-D) - 1 Silver medal in 200 mts. back stroke
Jaitej Singh (VIII-E) - 1 Silver medal in 100 mts. Back stroke, 1 Bronze medal in 100 mts. Free style, 1 Bronze medal in 200 mts. in Breast stroke.
In addition to this, Suditi Jamwal, Vanya Suri, Naaz Goel and Shambhavi Sharma won first position in U-14 Medlay Relay while Saanvi Anand, Shambhavi Sharma, Vanya Suri and Suditi Jamwal bagged second position in Free style Relay. Further, all the students had also been selected for Inter-District Swimming Competition to be held later.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra applauded the winners, their coaches Mr. Ravinder Singh & Ms. Damini Jamwal. She encouraged the students to continue their hard work in both sports and academics. Headmistress Ms. Meenu Gupta also congratulated the entire team.
Hon’ble President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji conveyed their best wishes to the winners for the upcoming events.
