DPS JAMMU PARTICIPATES IN “NO KHALI PET CAMPAIGN”

With an aim to make Jammu city a ‘No Hunger Zone’, over 4000 students, parents and staff of Delhi Public School, Jammu actively participated in ‘No Khali Pet’ Campaign and donated hygienic eatable items to meet the hunger needs of around 4000 hungry & needy people in Jammu. This campaign was organized by Robin Hood Army, a volunteer organization with the support of 92.7 Big FM and DPS Jammu on the occasion upcoming Human Rights Day on 10 December, 2018.
Speaking on the occasion, Director, DPS Jammu, Sh. S.S Sodhi said that Human Rights being inherent to all human beings must guarantee the basic needs of all humans i.e Food, Clothing and Shelter, irrespective of any differences in religion, cast, creed or race. He shared his valuable experience with all volunteers of RHA, team FM, faculty and students of DPS Jammu to make such charitable acts better organized and to embed them into our daily life processes.
Earlier, staff and students who had collectively brought extra tiffins with them were thrilled to donate them to the school volunteers appointed for this purpose.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra encouraged all children and staff to inculcate more kindness, love, empathy and compassion in their behavior and make charity a life long process.
Also present on the occasion were RJ Juhi from 92.7 Big FM, Mr. Venus from RHA, Ms. Meenu Gupta-Headmistress and other senior faculty of the school.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji and Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji extended their support for the campaign and extended their appreciation for the students and staff.
