HIS EXCELLENCY, GOVERNOR J&K STATE, SH. SATYA PAL MALIK FELICITATES ACHIEVERS OF DPS JAMMU

His Excellency, Sh. Satya Pal Malik Ji, Hon’ble Governor of J&K state felicitated the student achievers of Delhi Public School, Jammu for their excellent performance in the fields of academics and extra-curricular activities at the Raj Bhavan, Jammu on Friday, 25th January, 2019. The function started with presentation of a token of Honour & Gratitude to His Excellency by the PVC, DPS Jammu, Kunwrani Ritu Singh. After that a Welcome Address and a School Report were presented by the Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra highlighting the history of the school and enumerating the recent major achievements in academics and co-curricular fields. This was followed by recitation of a patriotic poem by Sufiyaan Chauhan of class III which was highly praised by His Excellency.
Further, students who have brought laurels in various fields at state & national levels were also felicitated by the Governor.
Extending greetings on the occasion of 70th Republic Day, His Excellency Hon’ble Governor, J&K state Sh. Satya Pal Malik Ji said that the constitution of India empowers each and every individual of this country to aspire for the highest possible position irrespective of their background. He observed that India is known for its intellectuals and scientists, academicians, thinkers who have been working for the progress of the humanity since time immemorial. He emphasized that the young generation should draw an inspiration from the lives of such exemplary intellectuals and carry forward their legacy for future generations. He also appreciated the contribution made by the school for the progress and growth of its children and also lauded DPS students for their outstanding achievements. Further, he advised them to work hard for creating newer bench marks in their chosen fields. He also observed that only knowledge can truly empower a person and advised them to utilize this period of their lifetime in honing their capabilities.
Hon’ble Governor also felicitated Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji, Hon’ble Director and Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, DPS Jammu, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal, DPS Nagbani, Sh. Raj Kumar Verma and Principal Incharge, DPS Katra, Ms. Vandana Sharma for their educational contributions and as a token of appreciation.
The short programme was compered by Sarthak Aggarwal of class XI and Tarini Mangotra of class IX. It ended with the Vote of Thanks delivered by PVC, DPS Jammu, Kunwrani Ritu Singh followed by a memorable group photograph with His Excellency.
