SOHAM KAMOTRA OF DPS JAMMU SHINES IN NATIONAL BLITZ CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Soham Kamotra (X-D) of Delhi Public School, Jammu brought laurels to the school and his parents by scoring 8 points out of 11 rounds in National Blitz Chess Championship organized by Amateur J&K Chess Association held at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar on 28th May, 2019. He beat one Grandmaster, one International Master and one FIDE Master. The players from 23 states participated in the championship in which he was declared 3rd in the championship. It is noteworthy that Soham is one of the highest rated Chess players of J&K state.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated Soham and his parents for the glorious success. She extended her best wishes for his future endeavours.
