DPS JAMMU CELEBRATES HINDI DIWAS WITH GREAT FERVOUR

Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and fervor. A Special Assembly and different competitions were organized on the occasion. The students mesmerized everyone with their presentation which included display of characters, works and biographical accounts of legendary Indian authors and poets such as Rabindranath Tagore, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sarojini Naidu, Munshi Prem Chand, Sant Kabir, Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan and Mahadevi Verma. The students also presented the views of Mahatma Gandhi and Sh. Narendra Modi on the importance of promoting Hindi language. Students who presented their characters had also come dressed like them. This was followed by solo poetry recitation by the students. They recited poems with proper voice modulation, intonation and expressions which won a huge applause from the audience. Students also presented duet recitation of famous Dohas and also enlightened the audience with their enriching explanations. Creative writing competitions were also organized for classes VI to X, which included essay, letter and slogan writing. The competition saw an active participation of all the students.
Further, students also actively participated in Inter School Hindi Diwas competition and activities and brought laurels to the school.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra urged everyone to inculcate values of deep respect, appreciation and pride for our mother tongue Hindi.
Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta in her address said that Hindi language should be honoured and preserved.
The special assembly was anchored by Anannya Singh Jasrotia (V-J) while the vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Rohina Gupta, Subject Coordinator (Hindi).
The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to all on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.
