DPS JAMMU CELEBRATES CONSTITUTION DAY

Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November, 2019 in all its solemnity. The aim was to make students aware of the fact that the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949 and to honour democracy. The students on this occasion were made aware about the preamble of the constitution as part of the celebration. All the students took pledge to be responsible and respectful towards the nation and to uphold the integrity and unity of the country. They also pledged to affirm their faith in the universal principle of civilized society and also vowed never to resort to any physical violence in case of any dispute. The students were also given information about the salient features of the Indian Constitution.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra addressed the students briefly about the significance of celebrating the Constitution Day. Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta was also present on the occasion.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the students and staff on this occasion.
