DPS JAMMU ORGANIZES ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION FOR PRE-NURSERY CLASS

Poem Recitation activities help a child to develop confidence, improve vocabulary and also help the students to get rid of stage fear. In order to instill love for poetry and to develop recitation skills amongst the little ones, Delhi Public School Jammu organized English Recitation Competition for the students of class Pre-Nursery. The children actively participated in the competition and recited poems beautifully on the topics such as ‘Mamma Darling’, The Elephant’, ‘Johnny Johnny Yes Papa’, ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’, etc. The competition was adjudged by Ms. Ravinder Kour.
The 1st prize was bagged by Aashrita Gupta and Dhariya Sawhney while Sheikh Fajar Kashif and Shivaay stood 2nd. The 3rd place went to Mehak Sharma and Anhad Preet Singh. Consolation prize was received by Yug Mathur.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated students for the achievement. She also lauded the efforts put in by the teachers and parents. Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta laid stress on the need to give flight to child’s creativity. Also present on the occasion were the Coordinator, Pre-Primary Wing, Ms. Preeti Abrol and the form teacher, Ms. Ritu Veer.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the winners and participants.
