DPS Jammu holds Inter House Basketball Tournament

Ganga House bagged the winning trophy of Inter House Basketball tournament for boys defeating Jhelum House by a narrow margin of two points (35-33). Inter-House Basketball Tournament for boys of classes IX to XII comprising of five houses namely Ganga, Jhelum, Chenab, Yamuna and Tawi was organized in the school campus on Monday. The tournament was declared open by the Headmistress of the School, Ruchi Chabra.
Coordinator of the senior block, Umesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, in the first match Ganga House defeated Tawi house by four points(27-23). In the second match Jhelum House trounced Yamuna House by nine point (25-16) and in the match Ganga house outplayed Chenab House by 15 points (25-10).
The matches were officiated by Sudesh Manhas, Shambu Dutt and Amit kour, basketball coaches.
Additional Director/Principal of the School , Dr. (Mrs.) D.Joseph congratulated Ganga House for winning the Rolling Trophy. She also encouraged all other houses for their participation.
