Tuesday, January 25, 2022

To celebrate India's progressive and glorious history of the people, culture and achievements, this 73rd Republic Day, Delhi Public School, Jammu organized an online Role Play Activity about the Great Indian Freedom Fighters on 25th January, 2022. Students of classes I & II actively participated in this activity.

With the help of their parents and teachers, students researched about the lives of their ideal freedom fighters, dressed up like them and prepared for the Role Play. This activity provided an opportunity to all students to explore, investigate, experiment and develop better communication and language skills. Through this, they came across the lives of various freedom fighters of India, the struggles endured by them and their strength, sacrifice and determination to seek freedom for their nation.
The role of great leaders such as Rani Laxmi Bai, Sarojni Naidu, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Subash Chander Bose and Bhagat Singh were very well enacted by the students. There can’t be any criteria to judge the performance on Great Indian Freedom Fighters because no boundaries could be set to one’s love and pride for the nation, but to encourage and motivate students for their incompatible efforts, all students were awarded with e certificates.
Overall, it proved to be an excellent way for the children to acknowledge and remember their country’s freedom fighters, respect and salute them for their unmatchable sacrifices and help them grow into better human beings.
