DPS JAMMU EXCELS IN STATE LEVEL VVM EXAM

Taking its rich academic legacy ahead, the students of Delhi Public School Jammu excelled
in the VVM State Level Examination 2021-22, conducted by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA) in
collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of
Science and Technology, Govt. of India on 13 th Feb. 2022 at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu. It is
noteworthy that VVM Exam is a national level programme meant for educating and
popularizing Science among school students.
The students of classes VI to XI participated in this exam, wherein more than 100 students
from J&K appeared. Out of total 12 students who have qualified for the National Level, 3 are
from DPS Jammu who have clinched top positions in this prestigious exam. Taransh
Mahajan stole the limelight by scoring first rank in Class VI at the state level, Jenna Nuryn
(VI) and Parikansh Rakwal (IX) bagged 2 nd position while Arjun Katyal (VI), Arya Bhalla
(VII) and Sarvaan Gupta (VIII) proved their mettle by scoring 3 rd position in their respective
classes. All winners were awarded Certificates of Merit, Mementoes and cash prize of Rs.
5000. Further, Taransh Mahajan, Jenna Nuryan and Parikansh Rakwal will be attending a
National Level Camp to be organized later.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra applauded the winners, participants and their
parents for their meritorious achievements. She also congratulated Ms. Navneet Kaur and
Dr. Balbir Kour, VVM Coordinators.
Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu
Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the
winners and their parents for their future endeavours.
