DPS JAMMU COMMEMORATES 1ST VEER BAL DIWAS

To commemorate martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's two young sons- Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Delhi Public School Jammu observed 1st Veer Bal Diwas to pay homage to their great valour and sacrifice.
On this occasion, an animated movie on Sahibzadas "Chaar Sahibzaade" was showcased for the children of the Pre-Primary wing which was followed by story narration of these 'Veers' by the respective Class Teachers addressing the themes of sacrifice, courage, respect and responsibility. Later, the children also coloured the images of these two brave Sons of India.
The children from Classes III to VI attended a Special Assembly on the occasion. The colourful backdrop highlighting the event was artistically curated by Ms. Pankaj Manhas and Ms. Priya, Art faculty of the School. The inspiring story of life and bravery of the Sahibzadas were narrated by the Coordinator, Ms. Navneet Kaur, touching some major events of their lives. Ms. Parvinder Kour recited a motivating poem on Valour and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his sons. Tejveer Singh of Class V-F presented thought of the day on 'Sacrifice,' while the assembly was compered by Ms. Randeep Kaur.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress-Ms. Meenu Gupta, Chief Accounts Officer- Mr. R.C Gupta, Senior Manager (Operations)-Mr. Karandeep Singh, Dy. Headmistress-Ms. Rimpi Sharma, Transport Administrator-Mr. M.L Mehra, Coordinators-Ms. Mrignaini Pathania, Ms. Preeti Abrol, Ms. Anu Bali and other staff members attended 'Ardas' and also paid a floral homage to the martyrs.
Hon'ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon'ble PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon'ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji also paid their rich tributes on the day of the 1st Veer Bal Diwas.
