Kunwarani Ritu Singh Felicitates Students, Alumni and Support Staff on the Eve of Republic Day

DPS Jammu, Nagbani , and Katra celebrated ‘75 Super Star Achievers’ on the eve of Republic Day by
organizing felicitation ceremony for their meritorious students and alumni. Kunwarani Ritu Singh
initiated a drive on the occasion of Republic Day by means of inclusiveness and integration by
combining all three schools founded by her at the heart-warming celebration held at DPS Jammu.
75 achievers were presented with super star trophies of the excellence. The program started with a
song melodiously presented by the school choir followed by the felicitation ceremony, wherein the
school Alumni and the present batch of students were felicitated for their contribution in diverse
fields while the atmosphere was charged with both nostalgia and patriotism as the Alumni
reminisced about their journeys at school. The school maids, gardeners and security personnel were
also awarded for rendering meritorious services to the institution.
In her address, Kuwarani Ritu Singh emphasised on the importance of integration and inclusiveness
as the Theme for the school and spoke about the values inculcated in the school from the time she
founded all the DPS schools in Jammu, Nagbani, Katra & Ladakh.

The program was impressively compered by the students of all three schools – Sheen Wanchoo &
Akash from DPS Jammu, Aradhna & Amritanshu from DPS Katra, Parul & Daksh from DPS Nagbani.
The students also presented the vote of thanks. The program was attended by over 100 proud

parents, staff, students, alumni of the three schools including Ms. Neha Mahajan General Secretary,
Mahila Morcha, BJP. Also present on the occasion were Sh. S.S.Sodhi PVC/Director- DPS Schools J&K,
Principal DPS Jammu- Ms Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress Ms Meenu Gupta, Headmaster, Mr. Ravi Kotroo,
Dy HM’s and Coordinators of all the three schools.
The event concluded with the group singing of ‘Sare Jahan Se Accha’ patriotic song. The proud parents
of the achievers could be seen participating in full swing in the event.
A tricolour cake was prepared for refreshment along with sweets and savouries.
The program concluded with the National Anthem and group photographs, setting the tone for the
theme inclusivity and integration for all to follow in the best spirit.
