Blood Donation Camp organised at RBI Head Office on World blood donation day.

Donating blood is an act of great human kindness and to acknowledge this gesture World
Blood Donor Day was celebrated on 14 th of June at the RBI Head Office at Bahu Plaza Jammu .
RBI employees donated the blood with a great spirit of Voluntarism under the able guidance of Sh Sandeep Mittal GM RBI . Mr S.G Molik DGM RBI , Mr Pawan Sharma ,Ms Isha Sharma donated the blood and about 40 to 50 units were collected from RBI Employees.
Dr Kunwarani Ritu Singh , who was the Guest of Honour on the Occasion , recited mahamrityunjay jaap and compassionately lent her support to the noble cause . Known for her unwavering dedication to public health and her compassionate approach to patient care, Dr Ritu Singh expressed her gratitude to all donors and said each blood donation can potentially save multiple lives, and their generosity will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark
on the lives of those in need.
The Camp was coordinated with the team of Dept of Blood Transfusion & Medicine GMC Jammu under the supervision of HOD Dr Meena Sidhu , NHM , JKSACS & (ISBTI) Indian Society for Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology J&K Chapter. The Camp was lead by Dr Niti form GMC and Dr Navneet Kour Secty General of ISBTI , President YBA and their team .The event sets out to raise awareness of the requirement for safe blood and blood
products and to show appreciation to blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
The employees of RBI were invited to participate in the event and become Volunteer blood Donors donating for the Thalassemia Kids who need regular blood transfusions. The pledge was taken by all the employees of the RBI for voluntary blood donation. The GM Mr
Sandeep Mittal said that their employees would donate it a regular basis and contribute for this social cause .
"The blood you donate gives someone another chance at life. One day that someone may be a close relative, a friend, a loved one or even you. Dr Niti stated , "Blood is an important resource, both for planned treatments and urgent interventions of all kinds (accidents, natural disasters, armed conflicts, etc). Millions of lives are saved by transfusion of blood and blood products every year. The camp was organised by Mr Pawan Sharma ,Ms Isha Sharma , ,Dr SP Sharma BMC and AGM Rakesh Sharma.
