ALANKRITA OF DPS JAMMU SECURES FIRST RANK IN AICF SMART GIRLS TOURNAMENT

Alankrita Sharma (III-K), a student of Delhi Public School Jammu brought laurels to the school and her parents by securing first position in “AICF Smart Girls” Tournament held at Nek Hotel, Jammu from 27-31 July, 2023. The event was organized by Crown Trust under the aegis ofAJKCA and J&K Sports Council. A total of 142 players from 10 States participated in this event out of which the child stood first.In addition to this, she had also secured the rank of “Best Women” in “AICF Chess for Everyone” Tournament held at Jammu from 22-26 July.The event was played under FIDE Laws of chess with latest international rules.Alankrita received huge appreciation along with Certificates of Merit and mementoes in both the events.
It is also pertinent to mention here that in 2019, Alankrita had topped World Chess Rating among children below six years in European Style Round Robin FIDE Rating Chess Championship held in Jammu.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated Alankrita for the achievement.She also extended her appreciation to their parents for their unwavering support.
