SIDHANI AND SANWARI OF DPS JAMMU SHINE IN SOFT TENNIS & FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sidhani Singh (XII-G), a student of Delhi Public School Jammu brought laurels to the school and her parents by winning bronze medal in the 18th Junior National Soft Tennis Championship in Individual Doubles Women category. The championship was organized by Soft Tennis Federation of India at Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh from 15-19 October, 2023. A total of 400 players from different states pan India participated in the said event. In the final round, Sidhani defeated the team of Andhra Pradesh by 3-0. She also won other matches in the same event such as Kerala by 3-0, M.P by 3-2 and Tamil Nadu by 3-1.
While in another event, Sanwari Rajput (XI-G) from DPS Jammu won gold medal and first position by clearing 4 rounds in Inter-District Divisional U.T Level Fencing Championship held at M.A Stadium, Jammu from 20-21 October, 2023. She participated in Epee event in U-19 girls category. Further, she has also been selected for national level School Games to be held later this year.
The esteemed Management DPS Jammu-Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji along with Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated both the medal winners and their parents for their achievements. They also extended their best wishes to them for all their future endeavours.
