VRINDALIKA SHARMA OF DPS JAMMU DECLARED WINNER OF NHPC (STATE LEVEL) PAINTING COMPETITION

As a part of National Awareness Campaign to promote Energy Conservation in the country, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. (NHPC), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India organized a prestigious State Level Painting Competition on 20th November, 2023 at NHPC Regional Office, Jammu wherein Vrindalika Sharma (Class IX-C) of Delhi Public School Jammu bagged the coveted 1st position and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- in Category-B while Vanshika Dutta (X-J) won 3rd prize of cash Rs. 20,000/- in Category-B. Chief Guest, Sh. Bikram Singh, ED, RO felicitated both the winners.
The competition was organized by NHPC for classes V, VI, & VII under group-A and for VIII, IX & X under group-B. Around 6000 students from J&K U.T had participated in the said competition out of which 800 students were from DPS Jammu. Vrindalika and Vanshika having won the coveted 1st & 3rd positions have also been selected for the national level painting competition to be held later in the month of December-2023.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal-DPS Jammu congratulated both the students and said that it was a proud moment for the school to stand out as a state level winner of J&K out of thousands of students across J&K.
The esteemed Management DPS Jammu, Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji congratulated Vrindalika, Vanshika, their parents and teacher in-charge, Mr. Suresh Kumar Sharma for their achievements. They also extended their best wishes to them for all their future national competition.
