DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL JAMMU CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY

To mark the Birth Anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and to recognize the carefree joyousness of childhood, Children’s Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in Delhi Public School Jammu. The assembly commenced with a solemn prayer, where students and teachers unitedly prayed to God to seek His blessings for their bright future. Following the prayer, beautiful program unfolded, wherein teachers showered their love on children by presenting their lovely performances. Students saw their own reflections on the stage in the form of their beloved teachers who presented the prayer, thought, poem and dance. A sense of unity and purpose was reinforced as the entire assembly took a pledge to create a safe and nurturing environment for our children and for the nation. The highlight of the assembly was the magical performance of Adeesh Verma of class X-A with Rubric cube. Music and dance added an extra layer of celebration in assembly. It was a moment of pure fun and entertainment. Felicitation ceremony was also held for the children during the assembly to recognize their achievements in various events.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra expressed her gratitude towards the students and teachers for their enthusiastic participation in making the assembly a resounding success. She emphasized the importance of instilling values, discipline, and a strong sense of community among students by taking pledge with the students. She appreciated the student achievers and the school faculty particularly, Dr. Seema Sawhney, Ms. Alisha Mahajan, Ms. Anjana Sharma, Ms. Minakshi Gupta, Ms. Anju Jain, Ms. Chandni Abrol, Ms. Tavleen Kaur, Ms. Mukti Oberoi, Ms. Nanuta Nar, Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Mr. Jacob Mattoo, Mr. Daniel Sidhu, Mr. Anil Raina, Mr. Reagon, Mr. Sanjeet Mehra, Ms. Poonam Sharma, Ms. Seemankshi, Ms. Laxmi for their active participation.
Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta and Headmaster, Mr. Ravi Kumar Kotroo also spoke on the occasion.
The assembly was compered by Ms. Manpreet Kaur Mehta and Ms. Chandrika Sharma while the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Shadi Lal, Vice House Warden-Jhelum House.
The special assembly ended with the National Anthem followed by a group photograph.
Also present on the occasion were the Dy. Headmistress-Ms. Rimpi Sharma, Transport Administrator-Mr. M.L Mehra and Coordinators-Ms. Mrignaini Pathania, Ms. Anuradha Wadhera, Ms. Anu Bali.
The esteemed Management DPS Jammu, Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the staff and students on the occasion of Children’s Day.
