DPS JAMMU CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS

Delhi Public School Jammu hosted a heart-warming Christmas Special Assembly, spreading joy and festive spirit among the whole DPS Family. The event, brimming with talent and celebration, showcased the school's commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.
The assembly began with a warm welcome note by the anchors, setting the stage for a magical morning. The school prayer, embodying the true essence of Christmas, was followed by a captivating Nativity Scene that brought to life the traditional story of Christmas. The melodious sounds of Christmas Carols, presented by the school choir, filled the air with a festive atmosphere that resonated with the spirit of the season.
The Pre-Primary Wing students then took the stage with an adorable dance performance, spreading smiles and adding a youthful charm to the celebration. It was followed by the Felicitation Ceremony that acknowledged outstanding achievements in various domains. Students excelling in sports events, Inter-DPS events including VIGVANIJYA and Brave New World, VVM, UCMAS were felicitated during the event. Also, the members of the Eureka Club (Physics Club) were felicitated for their remarkable contributions.
Mr. Parth Salathia, a distinguished member of the sports faculty, an International Roller athlete and a proud Ex-DIPSITE was also honored for representing the country at the Asian Championship in China. Recently, he was felicitated by the DPS Society for his remarkable achievements in the fields of sports.
The assembly also featured the release of school magazines- Ankur and Jharna, which was a testament to the creativity within the school walls. Later on, the Primary Wing students enthralled the audience with a lively dance performance, adding a touch of joy to the festive occasion. Additionally, the school also announced the initiative of spreading joy and warmth among the needy by donating clothes, blankets and other articles and encouraged everyone to contribute generously and make this festive season brighter for others.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, addressed the gathering and wished Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. She highlighted the significance of coming together as a school family, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and understanding and encouraged everyone to carry the warmth and positivity of the festive season into the New Year, aspiring for a future filled with shared accomplishments, growth, and continued support for one another.
Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta and Headmaster, Mr. Ravi Kumar Kotroo also addressed the gathering and shared their words of wisdom and encouragement. In their address, they encouraged students to cherish the bonds of friendship, celebrate diversity, and extend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the true spirit of Christmas.
The assembly, compered by Jenna of class VIII and Prasan Sharma of class XI, concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice-House Master and the National Anthem, followed by a heart-warming group photograph capturing the joyous memories of the special day.
The esteemed Management DPS Jammu, Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC-Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji wished the staff and students a merry Christmas and the joyous New Year.
