Delhi Public School Jammu Conducts Athletic Events Under "My Youth My Pride" Sports Activities for 2024-25

The J&K Sports Council, under the esteemed patronage of Secretary Ms. Nuzhat Gul, successfully organized an Athletic competition at Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu. The event, held on August 2, 2024, as part of the "My Youth My Pride" sports activities for 2024-25, saw enthusiastic participation from around 120 young athletes.

The competition featured three athletic events: the 100M sprint, Shot Put, and Long Jump. The event was well-attended, with over 200 spectators and officials present to cheer on the participants. Refreshments were provided to all athletes.

The event was organized under the expert supervision of Chief Coach Basketball Mrs. Sushma Jamwal, alongside Vinay Sharma, Dalvinder Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Rachna Jamwal, and Pawandeep Kour. The technical panel of athletic officials, including Ankush, Sourab, Sudesh Manhas, Ravinder Singh, Vishesh, and Meenu Ragesh, ensured the smooth conduct of the competitions.All Members also felicitated Ms Ruchi Chabra, Principal , DPS. Jammu for her presiding the event as the Chief Guest.

Ms. Ruchi Chabra interacted with the young athletes, encouraging them to continue participating in such events in the future. She applauded each participant for their courage and determination, adding, "Delhi Public School Jammu is committed to nurturing young talent and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Keep striving for excellence and never give up on your dreams." She also congratulated all winners and participants.

Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress of DPS Jammu, lauded the J&K Sports Council's initiative to engage youth in sports activities under the "My Youth My Pride" program and gave a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the principal of DPS Jammu and the sports fraternity. She particularly acknowledged the unwavering support of Ms. Moninder Kour (HOD PHE) and Ms. Sanya Malik (Sports Coordinator) in making the Athletic competition a success.

The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, including Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, distinguished PVC, Dr. Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Director; Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji, Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra, and staff, congratulated all the winners and their parents and extended their best wishes for their future endeavors.
Also present on the occasion were Headmaster Ravi Kotroo, Deputy Headmaster Umesh Sharma, Deputy Headmistress Rimpi Sharma, among others.

The event concluded with National Anthem and group photographs.
