DPS JAMMU SOLEMNIZES INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2024-2025

Delhi Public School Jammu solemnized its 26thInvestiture Ceremony with full zeal, zest and enthusiasm. The theme for the Investiture Ceremony 2024-25 was ‘Sankalp se Siddhi ki aur-Lead to Inspire.’ The Guests of Honour for the event were the prestigious alumni of DPS Jammu- Mr. Archit Puri (Batch 2006-07), Mr. Nandan Gupta (Batch 2017-18), Mr. Aman Talla (Batch 2007-08), Mr. Sehaj Sabharwal (Batch2019-20). Also present on the occasion were, Parents of the student cabinet, Principal, staff and students of the school.

The ceremony commenced with the welcoming of the dignitaries and the parents, followed by a mellifluous group song ‘Insaan ho Insaaniyat ke kaam hi karna’by the school choir.
The adorning and swearing in of the members of the student council of DPS Jammu was a solemn ceremony, conferring authority to the prefectorial board comprising of 108 young leaders, who were elected after scrutinous interviewing and selection. The ceremony was a representation of the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. The badges and sashes were adorned on the young shoulders by the esteemed school management, the chief guests, Principal and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
The Dipsites also enthralled the audience with amesmerizing poetry of footsteps, which was a blend of Bharatnatyam and Kathak. Enhancing the elegance of the occasion, the Dipsites graced the stage with a mesmerizing jugalbandi of Rajasthani folk music, accompanied by the tabla rhythms of Gunnat Singh (Class VII) and the melodious harmonium tunes of Uday Krishna(ClassVIII) which not only added an extra layer of artistic splendourto the event but also resonated with the essence of our cultural heritage.
It was a proud moment for all the parents of the newly elected cabinet members to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, in her address, delineated the school’s vision and philosophy and lauded the pivotal role of all three founding pillars of the school management—M.K. Ajatshatru Singh, President RCT, Pro Vice Chairperson Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, and Founder Director Sh. S.S. Sodhiin bringing the school to the heights it has achieved over the past quarter century. She also appreciated the contributions of the teaching and non-teaching staff, members of the core school administration, as well as all past Principals and Administrators for their vital roles in laying the strong foundation of the school. She further acknowledged the unwavering support of the parents in the school’s progress. Further, she administered the oath to the newly inducted Student Cabinet 2024-25, wherein the students pledged to uphold the school’s motto, ‘Service Before Self,’ with loyalty, honesty, and dedication. The magnificent spectacle of the young leaders on stage, donning their mantle of accountability and taking the oath of responsibility, was truly graceful and enthralling.
The speeches by the Head Boys-Prasann Sharma & Momin Adnan and the Head Girls-Mayra Nargotra & Samiksha Raireaffirmed the diligence and dedication with which the new student council would function and motivated the newly elected members to take up their task with zeal and enthusiasm.
A march past of the newly elected Student Council, holding the house flags in their hands was carried out in perfect synchronization with the beat of the School Band and the School Anthem. The fluttering of the five house flags: Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Tawi & Yamuna lent a jubilant ambience for the vibrant students.
The formal Vote of Thanks was presented by Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, Delhi Public School Jammu, wherein, she expressed gratitude to all attendees, faculty members, parents and students for their presence and support.
The whole programme was compered by Diva Anand (XII-H)& Ayn Bhola (XI-A) along with Ms. Tanzeel. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem followed by the group photograph.
Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chairperson, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the newly elected members of the Student Cabinet, their parents and blessed the children on the path of their duties successfully.
