DPS Jammu Observes Police Commemoration Day with Special Session Honouring Martyrs' Sacrifice

In a solemn tribute to the brave police martyrs, DPS Jammu marked Police Commemoration Day on 18th October 2024 with a special session led by Inspector Bhupinder Singh from the Cyber Police Station, Jammu. The session was organized to spread awareness about the heroic sacrifices made by police personnel and to foster a sense of gratitude and respect among the students.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to Inspector Singh by the Head Boys, Prasan Sharma& Momin Adnan and the Head Girls, Myra Nargotra& Sameeksha Rai, along with the Principal and staff. The students delivered an earnest welcome address, setting the tone for the session. Principal Ruchi Chabra honoured Inspector Bhupinder Singh with a potted plant as a token of respect and admiration for his dedicated service.
During his address, Inspector Singh eloquently spoke about the importance of Police Commemoration Day, highlighting the selfless bravery and sacrifices of the police forces. He shared stirring stories of martyrs and young officers who risk their lives daily to ensure peace and security in the region. His words served as a poignant reminder of the invaluable contributions of the police, prompting reflection among the students and staff alike. In his address, Inspector Bhupinder Singh also encouraged the students to cultivate a deep passion and unwavering commitment to their work and institution, emphasizing that these qualities are key to achieving success in life.
In addition to paying homage to real life heroes, Inspector Singh also shared practical advice on cybercrime prevention, which deeply engaged the students. The informative session was made interactive, with eager students asking insightful questions about both the duties of the police and cybersecurity measures.
Inspector Singh answered each query with clarity and precision, ensuring that the students left with a better understanding of these crucial topics.
At the conclusion of the event, Principal Ruchi Chabracommended Inspector Bhupinder Singh for his enlightening and impactful session. She emphasized the importance of remembering and honouring the sacrifices made by the police, while expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the inspector for his valuable time and knowledge. As a gesture of appreciation, she presented him with a memento on behalf of the school.
The session was also attended by Meenu Gupta, Vice Principal, Ravi Kotroo, Headmaster, Umesh Sharma, Deputy Headmaster, Rimpi Sharma, Deputy Headmistress, and M.L. Mehra, Retired SSP Jammu, who graced the occasion with their presence.
The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a deep sense of respect and patriotism in the students, and leaving them with a renewed appreciation for the police forces' critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, Hon'ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC-Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Hon'ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji along with Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra and staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the members of the police force for their courage and bravery that have safeguarded the nation.
