WORLD's FIRST MEDITATION DAY

Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu, celebrated the World's First Meditation Day, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and promoting a peaceful, healthy way of living. The event highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering mental and emotional well-being alongside academic excellence.
Ms. Suman Sharma, an experienced meditation coach and wellness expert, served as the resource person for the day. Known for her ability to unlock inner potential through meditation, Ms. Sharma has guided countless individuals toward holistic well-being. During the session, she shared the essence of meditation and practical techniques that could be easily incorporated into daily life.
The day commenced with a school-wide meditation session, where teachers participated in a guided meditation led by Ms. Sharma. The session introduced various forms of meditation, including Mindfulness meditation, Mantra meditation and Loving-kindness meditation.
Additionally, teachers were taught Bhastrika Pranayama and Nadishodhana Pranayama, powerful breathing techniques known for reducing stress and enhancing focus. The hands-on session empowered participants with practical skills to nurture their mental clarity and overall well-being.
Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra emphasized that the school prioritizes the mental and emotional well-being of its teachers alongside academic growth. She expressed hope that the session would inspire everyone to incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives.
Vice Principal Ms. Meenu Gupta added that such initiatives not only provide a break from the usual routine but also equip participants with valuable tools to handle stress and maintain mental balance.
Hon’ble President RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC Dr. Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji sent their warm wishes and blessings to all teachers. They commended the school’s efforts and wished the faculty continued success and growth in their endeavors.
