DPS JAMMU CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS DAY WITH ENTHUSIASM AND GRATITUDE School magazine “Ankur” released

Delhi Public School Jammu marked Christmas Day with a heartfelt celebration, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. The event, held on December 23, 2024, in the school's main ground, with a vibrant zeal for joy, love and giving.
The celebration commenced with welcome note by anchors, expressing a heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries. The celebration continued with a thought and a speech by students to give thanks for the love, hope and joy found in Jesus.
The ceremony continued with mesmerizing melodies of carols wherein more than 200 students participated. Students then performed nativity scene to show love and respect for saviour and friend, Jesus. The event’s pinnacle was the dance performance by the little wonders of the school, our pre primary students, which left the audience spellbound. Various Student Achievers of International Level, National level Sports, Academic and Cultural events were also felicitated by the dignitaries.
The celebration continued with thanking amazing performers, the dedicated crew behind and brought the Cultural fest to a close, followed by the unveiling of school magazine “Ankur” wherein the Student Editors Vaidik Tagger (XI) and Adaa Mahajan (XI) shared experiences of their journey while compiling the school magazine.
It also served the purpose to help students explore their identities and gain insights into the world. Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of love and compassion among human beings, followed by the address by Vice Principal, Ms. Meenu Gupta, delivering the importance of kindness. Headmaster, Mr. Ravi Kumar Kotroo, addressed the assembly by giving the note to celebrate the festival with great joy.
The event reached its crescendo with moving addresses from the Headmistress and Headmaster, who provided valuable insights and inspiration. As the day drew to a close, anchors expressed their heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the event’s success. Their gratitude extended to the dedicated staff, whose meticulous planning ensured the day’s success. The whole assembly was compered by Aayat Fatima (XI-H) & Katyani (XI-A) While the vote of thanks was given by Ms. Supreet Kour, House Master, Yamuna House. Also present on the occasion were Dy. HMs, Mr. Umesh Kumar Sharma & Ms. Rimpi Sharma, Ms. Mrignaini Pathania-Coordinator and Mr. M.L Mehra-Tpt. Administrator.
The celebration concluded with a powerful rendition of the National Anthem, uniting everyone in a moment of pride and nationalistic fervor.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu under the leadership of Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC-Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes on the occasion to the staff and students.
