DPS JAMMU ORGANIZED ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION

To encourage for developing imaginations and creative thinking in the students, DPS Jammu today organized a ‘Poetry Recitation Competition’ for the students of class III. Around 40 students participated in this competition. Every participant recited a poem with a beautiful message to the society like Save Girl Child, Educate Girls, Stop Child Labour, Pollution, Save Environment, Trees, Selfless love of Mother etc. The students showed keen interest and presented their poems very enthusiastically. The efforts of the students were noteworthy, particularly for their brilliant ideas and innovative ways of promoting awareness. Enthusiasm and passion of the students was appreciated by the judges.
The Competition was adjudged by Ms. Saroj Bakshi and Ms. Roshali Aneja. Archisa Mahajan stood first while second and third positions were bagged by Aarya Giri and Rasab Khan respectively.
While appreciating the variety of poems presented by the students, Ms. Meenu Gupta Headmistress upto Middle Wing DPS Jammu stated that such activities play a great role in helping the students to understand the rhythm of language and also enhancing their confidence in public speaking.
Additional Director / Principal Dr. (Mrs.) D. Joseph congratulated the winners and appreciated their efforts. She also blessed them for their bright future.
