SUMMER CAMP CONCLUDES AT DPS, JAMMU

Summer vacations are busy times for kids these days. Delhi Public School, Jammu organised an intellectual and colourful summer camp for the students. The 10 days summer camp from 9th June, 2015 to 18th June, 2015 was attended to by more than 200 students of the school. This summer fiesta allowed kids to choose various activities of their choice like Swimming, WuShu, Cricket, Skating, Basketball, Lawn tennis, Yoga, Table Tennis, Creative Art and Craft, Dance – Classical / Western, Computers, Music - Vocal / Classical, Instrumental, Violin, Pottery, English Conversation, Personality Development and Shooting.
The students were enthusiastic and very keen to start their day at the camp. Highly skilled and experienced staff greeted them warmly. Consequently, the children settled quickly and engaged themselves in a wide range of high quality activities. Students learnt and experimented with various media including drawing pencils, colour pencils and creative art work.
In each sports program, expert coaches taught campers sports specific skills and drills which helped them to adjust themselves quickly. Apart from learning skills, children also utilized the camp days in nurturing their inherent skill and talent. It was fun-filled summer camp where students were very happy. DPS Jammu had lined up fun-range of activities for kids. Rain dance was also organized for campers. At the end of the camp, the students presented cultural programmes like Dance performances, music etc. role plays were also enacted by the students and were appreciated by all. The demonstrations on Yoga exercises were also performed on the stage. The little buddies enjoyed the camp with loads of fun learning creativity based activities.
Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress upto Middle School, DPS Jammu remarked that the students had a gala time and indulged themselves in different activities and vibrant colours with which they expressed their feelings and emotions. Not only this, children learnt by watching other camp mates and explored their hidden talents. Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress Senior Wing was also present on the occasion and appreciated the student’s creative performance. Dr. Prem Singh and Mrs. Sania Malik coordinated the entire camp.
Dr. (Mrs) D. Joseph , Additional Director/Principal DPS Jammu congratulated all the students and teachers for completing the summer camp successfully.
Sh. S.S. Sodhi, Director Delhi Public School, Jammu also congratulated the students for sharpening their skills and learning many new things which will go a long way for their overall growth and development. He also appreciated the efforts of senior staff, Experts, Coaches and the students for coordinating the activities nicely in the summer camp.
