DPS JAMMU PAYS TRIBUTE TO NATIONAL HEROES

Delhi Public School Jammu celebrated this Independence Day by remembering all the National Heroes and eminent personalities who have played significant role in freedom struggle of our country.
A ‘Fancy Dress Competition’ was held by the school in which students of class 3rd dressed up as various eminent personalities and spoke few words about them. The students spoke about the contributions of these heroes in freedom struggle like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai, Subash Chander Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Chander Shekhar Azad, Mangal Panday, Balgangadhar Tilak etc.
Also some students spoke about the role of certain other eminent personalities who played an important role in development of independent India like Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. B.R Ambedkar, Dr. S Radhakrishnan and Dr. A.P.J Kalam.
It was a great initiative taken up by the Staff of Delhi Public School as the students would learn about the contribution of these National Heroes in making India what it is today.
The first prize was won by Saanvi Anand, the 2nd prize was won by Tanisk Sood and third prize was shared by two i:e Parkhi Jain and Achyutam Anand. The competition was adjudged by Ms. Shalini Pradhan and Ms.Anuradha Rance.
While appreciating the performance of students, Ms. Meenu Gupta Headmistress DPS Jammu stressed on inculcating the values of patriotism among children. Ms. Sangeeta Jain, Co-ordinator, Primary wing was also present during the function.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra Principal DPS Jammu congratulated the winners and wished them for their bright future.
