Delhi Public School, Jammu organized Inter House Yoga Competition

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized ‘Inter House Yoga Competition for the students’ for the students of classes III-V in the premises of school here today. The students showcased their talent by performing some very extra ordinary Yoga Asanas.
The students who won medals included:
Riya Bhan –III-E) Gold Medal. Rehan –III-B (Silver Medal), Kartik Pandita-III-D and Rohan Sharma-III-A (Bronze Medal).
Kritika–IV-C (Gold Medal), Ritvik–IV-A (Silver Medal) and Pawani -IV-A(Bronze Medal).
Lachiya V-G (Gold Medal), Shubhdeep-V-A (Silver Medal) and Aseem Bhat-V-I (Bronze Medal).
The competition was adjudged by Ms. Ranjana Verma, teacher of the school.

While addressing the students, Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta laid emphasis on practicing yoga as some yogic postures are very useful at this stage which help in enhancing height, increasing concentration and developing healthy mind and healthy body.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal, DPS Jammu lauded the effort of the students and the yoga teacher. She also advised them to make a habit of practicing yoga everyday as it will be very beneficial in the long run also.
