DPS Jammu’s Mhotsav Gandotra Secures Group Rank 11 in the American Mathematics Contest, Earns Place in the Prestigious Honour Roll.

Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of
MhotsavGandotra, a brilliant Class VIII student, who has secured a group rank of 11 in the
prestigious American Mathematics Contest (AMC 8). Recognized for his exceptional mathematical prowess, Mhotsav has also earned a coveted spot in the Honour Roll, placing him among the world’s top achievers in this highly esteemed international competition.
Conducted by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the AMC 8 is a premier global
contest that challenges young minds with complex problem-solving and analytical reasoning tasks. Competing against over 4,000 students from India and thousands more worldwide,
Mhotsav’s exceptional performance places him in the top 5% of participants, a true testament to
his intellectual brilliance and dedication.
His remarkable accomplishment has brought immense pride to DPS Jammu, its faculty, and his
parents, reaffirming the school’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and nurturing
future leaders in STEM fields.
In addition to Mhotsav’s historic feat, six other talented Class VIII students from DPS Jammu showcased their mathematical acumen, securing commendable rankings in the contest:

• Yasha Shree – Group Rank: 105; School Rank: 3
• Shivdev Singh – Group Rank: 105; School Rank: 3
• Pratyaksh Romesh Jandial – Group Rank: 131
